VinAudit reports for cars

When a seller adds the car's Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to their post, buyers can see whether that car has a salvage or accident record.

When there's no salvage or accident history found, buyers see this:

When there's both salvage and accident history found, buyers see this:

OfferUp partners with VinAudit.com to provide information about specific car features, salvage, and accident records to buyers and sellers on OfferUp.

The basic information about the car is on the OfferUp post, and a complete report can be purchased from VinAudit.com. Learn more about car reports on VinAudit.com

Only cars made after 1980 will have a VIN. For older cars, it’s a good idea to get the car thoroughly checked out. See our tips for buying a vehicle
